  2. She's just a "one trick pony"... FREE SHIT FOR EVERYBODY! (No idea of how it's all to be paid.)

    She's a Lefty-Populist idiot.

  3. I think the collapse of United States Economy is inevitable if she somehow gets in a powerful position... Can you imagine how fast the outflow of capital will be ? I would stop trading US markets and Exchanges, and stick with Canadian top 5 Banks, CAR.UN and some solid residential REITs, 10-20 % returns a year with dividends re-invested, but better then yearly -20 % US stock market if that bat ever gets her way

How does one even propose 70 % tax rate over 10 million a year, and expect to keep an economy going ? Which corporation will stay and get ass raped ? Every corporation will setup offshore headquarters... Socialism is a very scary slope considering other regions are itching to over take America's economy status

  5. 73%.

If AOC can successfully push for a higher top tax rate then the next big thing she should go after is prescription drugs.

As usual, it's not that simple.

The top rate in the '50's was 91%, yet the top 1% of earners only paid a little over 16% in income taxes. The total tax burden (all taxes levied by federal, state, and local governments, including: income, payroll, corporate, excise, property, and estate taxes) for the top 1% was just over 42%, which is reflected in the chart below.

So how did they pay only 16% when the rate at the top marginal income was 91%?

Actually, every time AOC opens her mouth a few brand new republicans are created.

  10. I'm not so sure. She has an infectious magnetism. I don't agree with her on a lot, but you can't deny that she has charisma. I admire her balls. She has zero respect for the career dem hacks in congress.
