Trump just signed an executive order to ban them. Now, all bad things that will unfold in Obamacare can be blamed on this. Is it a strategic mistake?
Strategy isn't a necessity when you have a cult base. First they setup a narrative that ACA is collapsing which isn't true at all (few shitty red states had problems), now they will continue that narrative when it does collapse because of Trump's actions.
Obamacare needs to be collapsed it was a scheme to raise insurance on taxpayers and transfer our money to citizens and non citizens. If the people of our country wish to do that... fine. It should be done with govt money where we all share the burden caused by inflation.
What a bunch of BS http://healthaffairs.org/blog/2016/07/21/obamacare-premiums-are-lower-than-you-think/ If your insurance rates got jacked up then you had shit worthless insurance
you are so deeply detached from reality... its no wonder you are a lefty. even politifact knows premiums went up a lot.. this is for a family of 4 only making 60 grand. by the way I stayed with the same insurance company... it was my plan that was changed a bit and my prices that were seriously jacked.. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...ence-says-under-obamacare-american-families-/ We started by looking at the data released by HHS about average Obamacare premiums. This data has been released for four years -- 2014 to 2017. We looked at one of the standard measurements the department calculates every year -- what a family of four with a household income of $60,000 would pay for premiums on the second-lowest-cost silver plan. (As you might guess, a silver plan is more comprehensive than a bronze plan, but less generous than gold and platinum plans.) Premiums for this type of policy started at $9,468 a year in 2014, rose very modestly to $9,636 in 2015, rose somewhat more aggressively to $10,428 in 2016, and then rather substantially -- 25 percent -- to $13,080 in 2017. Altogether, then, average premiums for this type of Obamacare plan rose by a cumulative 38 percent during that period, which is not a trivial amount. However, the raw dollar increase was less than what Pence said -- $3,612 rather than $5,000
https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapo...are-act-that-increased-premiums/#29646bae11d2 In each case, the increases differed among age groups, with families headed by those under 30 and over 50 generally being hit the hardest by the ACA premiums increases. However, once we remove the self-sorting into different plan types, and average each age group and household type (i.e., family or individual), the results are very consistent – in the four years before the ACA, every age group and family type either experienced a premium decrease, or an increase of 9.2% or less. However, in the first four years of the ACA, every age group and household type experienced an increase of between 56.0% and 63.2%. For something as complex as health care, that’s a pretty narrow range. The dollar amounts of the increase varied from $2,524 for an individual between the ages of 31 and 40, to $12,040 for a family headed by someone over age 60. But the percentages are remarkably consistent: The ACA raised premiums by about 60 percent.
The Seth Rich conspiracy theorist who posts fake peer reviewed paper is talking about reality. Let's listen in. Your very own link debunks your BS. And those premium increases are nothing new if you had insurance prior to ACA Look at the chart above, cumulative premiums rose by 38% from 1999 to 2002. Blame it on ACA right? Look at the cumulative increases rest of the time, ACA to blame right? You guys start with a narrative and then find information to fill in your biases.
Given how ACA changed insurance regulations and set different conditions, of course you can make shit charts like these where you compare apple to oranges. Comparing shit insurance plans to good ones and you can point to huge % changes.
so first you say premiums went down. (which is virtually psychotic you are so split from reality) even politifact showed you to be wrong. when I show you proof you are wrong.. you make new b.s. excuses and lie about previous threads. you are such a dnc paid troll with zero fidelity to the truth. Premiums jacked up big under obamacare. that is the fact. Now.. its time for the dnc and the rnc to cease screwing taxpayers.
I didn't say premiums went down, I quoted a study which said they are lower than what others think How can you prove me wrong if you didn't get my premise right in the first place? You are such a Breitbart troll with zero fidelity to the truth just like your leader Trump who lies about everything. If premiums went up 38% cumulatively as you posted after ACA and premiums have increased by 38% PRIOR to the ACA then how can premiums jacked up unless your definition of jacking up is 0.
