What an idiot. Does this mean he is tired of being wrong on Zimmerman? What has he done the last 19 times he has said this? NOTHING. He just puts forth unworkable ideas that can't get through Congress. Maybe he should announce he is going to cut regulation on business, he is going to approve the Keystone Pipeline, he is going to open federal land and ocean to oil leases and fracking, he is going to repeal the job killing Obamacare, etc. etc. But, I don' think he is smart enough to do any of that.

According to political reporter Salena Zito, today's economic speech by Barack Obama represents the 19th "pivot" (to jobs) for the president:

    SalenaZito @SalenaZitoTrib
My unofficial count has this Obama "pivot on jobs" speech his 19th "pivot" since taking office. Today he will blame Washington & Republicans

Chuck Todd tried to coin a phrase "this pivot to the economy," by calling it "Déjà Pivot":

“This speech, this pivot – pivot to the economy, again it’s like déjà pivot I have when it comes to the economy. But it seems like they really are signaling they are going to have a campaign approach to this fight with congress when it comes to the debt ceiling, when it comes to sequestration 2.0. All of the decisions coming to a head in the fall, they’re basically saying, hey, we’re going to travel the country.”

THE WASHINGTON POST’S DAN BALZ: “Well, they learned that lesson in 2011 during the debt ceiling debacle, which was playing out at this point two years ago. When that collapsed and turned into such a mess, they pivoted away as we all know and went into campaign mode in the fall. And as you remember, he put the Jobs Act forward right after Labor Day in 2011 mostly as a campaign effort. And I think what we're going to see is very similar. But I think that the real question is what does he really have to say at this point? Is he simply trying to do it for politics? Perhaps. But that begs the question of what do you do about a sticky unemployment rate, middle class families that are struggling. There’s a lot that he has to deal with,” said Todd, previewing today's speeches.

Yes. It wasn't always so. You can argue his policies and efforts were counter to the good of the country, and I would support that argument. But he had potency. Obamacare and other stupid legislation forced through was proof that he had influence and power.

Now, however, even his own people are abandoning him and leaving him to the wolves. The mob, she is fickle.

It depends upon what you consider the phrase "an empty suit" to mean.

If you mean being devoid of influence to fool followers into following him then you are right.

If you mean being devoid of good ideas, policy and clear thinking, then he has always been an empty suit.

  7. Tao isn't all legislation forced through against the will of opponents of whatever law or legislation is passed. Obama did mess up on the health care but the opponents would of been just as much against him if not more if he would of done the right thing and pass single payer health care. My guess is he couldn't get single payer passed because of the hold the insurance companies have on congress on both sides. Maybe the grand scheme is this thing will morph into single payer, who knows.

You are under the false impression that single payer is the solution to healthcare and Obamacare's problems.

Not even close. Government needs to keep out of healthcare. Everything they touch becomes an incredibly expensive disaster. We are already broke because they have gotten involved with social engineering and it is out of control.

Obamacare needs to be repealed completely and we need to go back to private, competitive insurance companies with better rules to increase competition and broaden choices.

Government healthcare is NOT the answer.

  9. Go do some reading on the savings we would have by switching everyone to Medicare. The right is for expansive spending, it doesn't make it "conservative" just because the massive spending and waste is in the private sector. Just like the stupid drill baby drill was the stupidest and most wasteful idea ever brought up that actually received support. Both sides need to tighten their belt and the reps are every bit as responsible as the dems.

  10. Only "head-up-their-ass" and "blind Communist ideology" Libtards believe, "everything greedy, Leftist politicos want is what America needs."
