https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...edit-card-giants-to-blacklist-gun-purchasers/ Summary: The NYT has joined or started one of the now familiar leftwing movements to weaponize the financial services industry to achieve a policy goal they could not achieve through normal democratic processes. For CNBC fan bois, that little shit Andrew Ross Sorkin is pushing this. The NYT wants credit card companies to either deny gun purchases altogether, which is obviously their end game, or "monitor and flag" when customers spend a lot on guns. Their excuse is several mass shooters made large purchases. The effect of such a move would be to put pretty much all online gun sellers out of business and probably most brick and mortar shops. Given the success of the left at deplatforming conservatives, and getting various payments processors, etc to block funding for them, this is a credible threat. I suppose the "principled" conservatives will murmur, "well they ARE private companies..." as if that settles the debate. So what's wrong withyou conservatives? Just start up an entire banking and financial services industry to go along with the internet industry you have also been advised to start. Or, maybe our elected representatives could get off their asses and start doing something for the people who put them in office. The Treasury could enact a rule mandating access for any legal business. At least then we would be protected until a democrat got in office.
The disingenuous lefties just can't come out and say they want to ban all guns and abolish the second amendment. They're always trying to pull some end around backdoor shit like this. Wear your leftist ideology proudly lefties. Be the genuine article. Quit being pussies.
