777, what would you propose as a reasonable solution to this latency issue? Rather than whine like a spoiled brat not getting his way, what would you propose to fix the problem? (For the record, I agree latency is a problem.)
I've asked you this question before and you have never answered it (and this is also why I take you to be an uneducated jokester and troll on this forum). What do you propose to do about the speed of light? Can you change it? Can you make light travel faster for some or slower for others? If I want to trade from my ski house in Vermont (with DSL currently) **OR** if I want to trade from my 3G or 4G tethered phone connection from a boat while I'm doing a delivery from Newport to Key West (mostly on the intercoastal); What exactly do you suggest would be "fair" for me to have equal speed as those big, bad HFT traders you trash talk so much? How do you suggest leveling the playing field?

Exactly! I know many specialists that became very wealthy back in the days of paper trade tickets and runners on the floor. What I wouldn't give to have that type of easy money back!
Personally I like the idea of HFTs fighting each other for my order. But I don't like the idea of them getting in there and clogging up the pipe with fluff.
