Hi, I've read in this website a few posts about kovner and PTJ . I was wondering, how many positions were they running in the 80's? According to the famous video that circulates on the Internet, jones talks about S&P, bonds, gold, crude oil, eurodollar...so five or six positions at the same time. I supose they didn't manage 40 different positions because it would be a completely mess. Any thoughts?
Big funds and traders typically have more than 10 positions. However, most of those positions are small, so they tend to concentrate on the 1-2 main positions.
Thanks for your reply. So when ptj and bruce kovner were interviewed in market wizards book, they were mainly managing one position?
> the famous video that circulates on the Internet If you're curious, drop by and have coffee with Peter. He's downtown on Water St. now. Super nice guy.
