NQ futures increased volatility after stocks close

The market was quite lazy into the close today but right after 15.00 it went quite wild. I was losing the entire day and 2 minutes after close I am back green for the day

What causes such high vol after close? Anybody knows?

 

Alphabet and Microsoft earnings.

 

A few companies you may have heard of announced earnings right after the close.
MSFT GOOG TXN

Its amazing people trade and have no idea wtf is going on

 

And did you see that 70-point follow-thru on the reopen? Good stuff.

 

Headed lower again by tomorrow, though.

 

I wish i did not know wtf was going on. Because i knew and did not feel like taking a chance i closed a small loss.

 

NQ closes @ 5pm EDT each Friday. Till then ..... don't blink or you might miss out.

I thought the OP must be a newb.

But no, he is a 10 year ET veteran. That means he should have seen about 40 earnings cycles since he joined.

I hardly care about news anymore just major ones like FFR, just ride the waves.. So many trades it makes no sense to look for the reason behind particular move. dumbest system ever traded trust me
