Not to worry Canada- the Americans will help Jamaica. We know you are busy.

  1. Frigging Trudeau called the Jamaican Prime Minister and pledged 500k in humanitarian assistance.

Wayyyyy to go. That is about the equivalent of what the Americans are already spending per hour to position supplies and equipment and to position ships, helicopters, emergency relief personnel- ALL WHILE TRYING TO PROTECT OUR OWN HOMELAND DURING AN ACTIVE HURRICANE THAT IS STILL IN PROGRESS.

I know that some of the fake Canadians here do not know their own history but can tell you where every pimple is on Trump's arse, but I offer up the little reminder that both Canada and Jamaica are part of the British Commonwealth. Start acting like it.

And yes, I know that within a couple days all sorts of spiffy things might be happening that you can google up. Once the Americans provide the leadership and help you to get moving.

And yes, we will fuck some things up. You will avoid that by doing nothing. Nice. We would expect no less.

  2. U.S. can get supplies to Bahamas in 3-5 hours, so it makes sense U.S. is going to lend a hand. The damage to the U.S. coast was minimzed thankfully due to the turn of the storm up the coast. Disney and Royal Carribbean and Carnival all pledged money to help too.

It is a hurricane not a military invasion, no one is protecting the homeland. Whatever we sent to Bahamas we still have plenty to deal with minimized impact on U.S. after storm track changed.

Parts of the whole goddam country are flat as a pancake. And yes, I follow that the Americans are closer. But I did not hear Trudeau saying he has assigned military support units, relief supplies etc to get there and help as soon as they can. Oh, that's right. Trudeau committed 500K. Meanwhile Carnival Cruise lines is positioning cruise ships there to start delivering 20,000 meals a day. But, hey, the Canadians are busy and they are sending a check.

As I said, no doubt you will read more tomorrow about spiffy things that they will be doing. It takes em while to be shamed into it. Maybe Trudeau will find that he has a hospital ship or a medical corp to send. We can hold up cue cards to help him a little and maybe he can get some ideas from watching what the Americans are doing.

  4. Canada.....military support....

They did send Mounties to the Carribbean but the horses drowned shortly after leaving from Halifax.

    The Bahamas are not Jamaica.

Trump DID falsify national weather service data which is a federal crime.

  6. Correct. Quite so. I erred and transposed names.

But the was about being in the British Commonwealth with Canada and both Jamaica and Bahamas are in the British commonwealth.

So my error being acknowledged, but same point when corrected.

I can't tell if @TreeFrogTrader is angry because nobody changed his diapers or that he needs Viagra to take a piss.

You don't understand the commonwealth. FYI The Bahamas is/was the third richest country in the Americas by head. The treasury is quite fat so token gestures are appropriate it will hurt their wallets but.. beyond needing loans (and they are the bank)..

  9. I see. You checked their wallet and they do not need any help.

Hope those who are still awaiting rescue or desperately needing supplies, medical care, or shelter know that it is all about just the dollars.

Why don't they have mandatory evacuations on islands like the Bahamas, when a Cat 4-5 is bearing down on them, like the US does? Needless death.
