Not all Oregonians feeling the love for the Portland area dem psychos.

  1. Five counties (plus 2 that voted earlier) vote to leave or explore leaving Oregon for Idaho.

Pundits point out that the Oregon legislature would have to approve and Congress too so it is not really headed anywhere other than to provide a good message. I agree with that. However, I dont necessarily agree with some of the logic as to why it would not happen. The fact that the Oregon legislature would have to approve would not be a barrier. The bulk of Oregon's tax and job base is west of the mountains and the lefties dont care about economic factors anyway. I am not really coming up with an immediate reason why all the lefty legislators would be reluctant to jettison seven counties that voted republican. As I said, there are reasons it will go nowhere. Just not sure that is one of them. More likely the Legislature would love to be able to expel them if they could. The small number of pubs not in those counties would vote against it because they don't want to be any lonelier than they already are, most likely.

Anyway, a great big F You Portland message being sent.

the Cali movement to secede from LA and like areas is gaining steam too, though nothing likely comes from it.

  3. It would be interesting if these counties could leave like they want to.

  5. Not sure that emergency response team of aromatherapists is working out all that well. But then again, in the lefty states if something is not working that is usually their signal to do more of it. Just keep "improving" cities and states until they are no longer liveable.

That's their foreign policy too. Cuba is not a problem. It is the goal.

  6. Portland Oregon's new communications director quits after one week.

And she spent that entire week working remote from California. WOMP!

Smart move on her part. Trying to put lipstick on that pig/Portland for a job is only slightly easier than taking a job as the new LGBTQ Relations Director in Kabul.

"Her first day began less than 24 hours after a sprawling, bloody street brawl between far-right activists and self-described anti-fascist protesters erupted in Northeast Portland’s racially diverse Parkrose neighborhood while police watched from a distance and did not intervene."

Mayor admits that just having the police stand back and allowing the extremists on both fringes battle it out in the streets while damaging property -- maybe isn't a good idea. But, of course, if the police intervene then the politicians will be glad to blame them for all sorts of stuff.

Portland mayor: Keeping police away from protest a mistake
Nearly three weeks after armed far-right and far-left protesters violently clashed in the streets of a diverse neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, the city’s mayor says the lack of police intervention was “not the right strategy.”
