There is dysfunction inside the VP’s office, aides and administration officials say. And it’s emanating from the top.

When Vice President Kamala Harris finally made the decision to visit the Mexico border last week, people inside her own office were blindsided by the news.

For days, aides and outside allies had been calling and texting with each other about the political fallout that a potential trip would entail. But when it became knownthat she was going to El Paso, it left many scrambling, including officials who were responsible for making travel arrangements and others outside the VP’s office charged with crafting the messaging across the administration.

The handling of the border visit was the latest chaotic moment for a staff that’s quickly become mired in them. Harris’ team is experiencing low morale, porous lines of communication and diminished trust among aides and senior officials. Much of the frustration internally is directed at Tina Flournoy, Harris’ chief of staff, a veteran of Democratic politics who began working for her earlier this year.

In interviews, 22 current and former vice presidential aides, administration officials and associates of Harris and Biden described a tense and at times douroffice atmosphere. Aides and allies said Flournoy, in an apparent effort to protect Harris, has instead created an insular environment where ideas are ignored or met with harsh dismissals and decisions are dragged out. Often, they said, she refuses to take responsibility for delicate issues and blames staffers for the negative results that ensue.

There's a reason she was neck-and-neck with Booker for the worst DNC candidate in history.

No one likes her, not even her own party, because if they wanted to get bitched at by their wife they'd just leave the bar and go home. None of this is surprising. In the debates she brought zero substance and pulled the race card to deflect any form of questioning. I'm sure H4M will chime in with some orange man bad bullshit but at least Trump had some dank ass roasts.

If this is what Joe McMemoryLoss picks for VP imagine how bad his picks for every other cabinet position are.

if you replaced Harris with Trump the same story was written for the last 5 years: except one was the chief executive who hired the best people and the other largely a ceremonial position.

I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that the Biden handlers think that they stepped in it big time by picking Harris for VP and would like to remove her and replace with someone like Rice. This is easy for someone with common sense to see.

Accomplished the above as a black women in America.

Shes far from my favorite Democrat but shes obviously doing something right.

  6. The turnover is endless because it is an endless search for a cure for stupid and there is none.

Almost all of her hires have been skin color women. If had a republican white man hired a lonnng string of black women and they all lasted for just a few months, y'all know what the accusation would be. Cannot relate to women and minorities. So what is kamala's excuse?

Kamala Harris’ staff exodus continues as top adviser, speechwriter leave posts
Vice President Kamala Harris confirmed Friday that her main domestic policy adviser would be leaving the veep’s service next month — as a new report said Harris’ chief speechwriter was also departing after fewer than four months in the job.

Politico, citing two people familiar with the matter, reported that Meghan Groob — whose hiring was announced April 4 — was on her way out as Harris’ director of speechwriting. The report did not give a reason for Groob’s departure, nor did it say when her last day would be.
