NC Attorney General joins multi-state lawsuit to secure federal aid for hurricane recovery https://wlos.com/news/local/nc-atto...ry-jeff-jackson-president-donald-trump-helene Expect BaghdadGWB to post articles saying that everything is okay there. Trump will fix it soon. Problem is, once FEMA funds have been passed to the states as has happened in NC, they are under state management.
As I documented in the Helene thread, North Carolina is still struggling with hurricane recovery. There are still 8000 families in temporary housing to get their homes rebuilt. Next week the state legislature is about to provide an additional half a billion in funding for hurricane recovery. Yet remarkable progress has been made in recovery. All the schools have been open for many weeks. All the electricity was restored many weeks ago. 90% of the roads have been repaired. Private charity groups, state and local governments have all banded together to provide a robust response; starting with food & water and moving on now to winter clothing & other needs. Yet there is more to do. The Trump DOGE funding cuts have immediately hurt the people living in very red North Carolina mountain counties that were impacted by Helene. Our state Attorney General has joined other states in this lawsuit to stop the Trump DOGE spending cuts from doing further harm to the residents of our state.
Doge found that $4.7 trillion was spent with no record of what it was spent on. Gov't spent the money secretly, on themselves. Doge is like a home inspector testing for rot, Dems are the termites.
Clinton took office with a 255 billion dollar deficit, left office with a 236 billion dollar budget surplus. Bush took office with a 236 billion dollar budget surplus, left office with a 1.4 trillion dollar budget deficit. Obama took office with a 1.4 trillion dollar budget deficit, left office with a 665 billion dollar budget deficit. Trump took office with 665 billion dollar budget deficit, left office with a 2.7 trillion dollar budget deficit.
The real termites are republicans who keep giving trillions in tax cuts to the rich The Republican House Budget resolution out Wednesday reveals the Ways and Means Committee will get $4.5 trillion to lock in tax cuts, one of President Donald Trump's major proposals. The GOP also seeks an increase in the debt limit by $4 trillion, the resolution says.
C'mon man, you will be okay without those drag queen shows down at the library and the elementary school. Hang in there. It will be rough at first.
We have congressional oversight committees that can and will examine all this. And the various bureaucrats will have a chance to respond and counter in detail if not true. I am sure they are all looking forward to that. OR NOT.
How amusing. Someone still thinks there are still three viable branches of federal government which will provide oversight into what Trump and Musk are doing. Oh, to be so naive and childlike again.
I see. Having problems accepting the outcome of an election are we? Not sure what your issue is. The pubs will definitely be holding hearings on this and everything else. And there is a pantload of dems on those committees as well as lefty press in attendance or monitoring. So for what reason would inquiry back and forth between the dems and the bureaucrats not flesh out what legitimate pushbacks the bureaucrats wish to have heard? I get that you and they are worried that the responses might not be all that pretty, and you should be worried about that.
