Something is wrong when you can deny service because someone is wearing a tank top but you are legally forced to serve two hairy bears in tight shorts with their tongues down each other's throats. This country is so fucked.
Quite the opposite, actually. You don't seem to understand that it is the freedom to do as one would like that is actually supported by the OPs comment. What gives you the right to tell someone who they must serve in their own business? Sounds to me like you have your head up your ass (again).
I can't believe in the year 2014 people want the freedom to discriminate. What the heck happened to the republican party? And no, I don't respond to the ZeroSense readers and the Rick Santelli fan club. Is the US still losing 1 million jobs a month or did the big boy blogs figure that one out. And is the Fed still printing - I can't believe people still don't understand that one. This is why the republican mind is a comedy goldmine.
The freedom to discriminate is still a freedom. Do you not inherently discriminate when you choose someone to date or marry? Even if you can tell me color of skin or race/ethnicity does not matter in your dating/marriage choices, you cannot honestly say the government should allow someone to sue you when you refuse to date them because they are not attractive. Too ugly, too short, too stupid (like you), too tall, too liberal, too conservative, black, white, asian, hispanic, indian, whatever. These are all choices we make when we choose a partner in life. They are all discriminatory, and they are all a freedom to choose. The freedom to choose is just that - a freedom. Choosing means you discriminate against something or someone for some reason. You opt out, by definition. A photographer should have the right to choose who he/she wishes to photograph. Any private business person should be able to make the decisions on who they wish to serve. Rights, such as freedom, the right to vote, the right to bear arms, the right to free speech, etc, shall not be infringed upon. But there is no "right to get a cheeseburger" or "right to be photographed", etc. Take your head and pull hard to firmly remove it from your ass.
It's actually easy to answer that question. The answer is that the perverts have their own pervert dictionary. The one where it's only intolerance when the other guy is intolerant.
Progress is not trampling the rights of one group in order to vindicate the rights of another group. Tell us why it's OK to deny service based on a 'no shirt, no shoes policy'?
heh, i was just writing this in another thread. your post is much better though.. and i agree 100%. of course ricter, convertibility, and the like will say they aren't big govt (maybe expanding govt is a better way to put it) sympathizers. but it is crystal clear that they ARE and they don't respect liberty.
