  3. by now I'm used to the proverbial can-kicking being a central part of the economy but this is starting to be absurd. if people can't pay their rent now, what makes anyone think they'll be able to pay in October, or next December, or maybe let's push it out til next March because why not?

  4. It's not about the rent or the people but the MBS. They fail --> banks fail --> endless domino. Money is an idea or a phantasy. Our economy depends upon an idea or phantasy.

I haven't missed a single rent payment since the pandemic began and I paid my student loans in full (delayed my graduation by 2 years because I worked the entire time I was in college so I could graduate with minimal student loan debt).

There is something rotten about what is going on in this country.

  7. Are mortgage payments included or just rent?

If this expires in October, what are the effects going to be for landlords, renters, credit, personal spending? What is the magnitude of this?

  9. It's obvious.

The number of landlords is small compared to the number of renters. SCREW the landlords because they collectively have fewer votes.... benefit the group with more votes.

(That black bitch parading the sign, "Housing Is A Basic Right" is full of crap!!)
