https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/03/...switch-from-democrat-to-republican-trump.html So Trump just got a democrat governor to switch to republican. Democrats are now not only losing special elections, but they are losing seats when there is no election! But remember that Trump has low approval ratings and Hillary won the popular vote. LOL. Actions speak louder than polls.
Its West Virginia,a small state Trump won by 42 points. That state has little relevance as to how the country as a whole views Trump. West Virginia has the second lowest household income in the country, ranked either last or second-to-last in 20 health categories and is the least educated stated in the country. No surprise its getting more and more republican.
Quite frankly the governors have more pull than the senators and congressman seeing as how none of them have accomplished anything good for like 4 decades. Can you actually remember the last time you saw something come out of the house or senate that was positive for the country?
No, honestly I can't. Maybe confirming Gorsuch. They are like the Konstanza congress. We should be doing the opposite of whatever they enact. Like this insane Russia sanctions law. It's surprising how many republicans are upset that Putin foiled their plans to turn Syria into a failed state controlled by terrorists ( but "our" moderate terrorists, per John McCain). And that he reacted to the CIA-sponsored coup in Ukraine. Never fear, I see that John McCain is planning on introducing another immigration bill. Republicans see now that Trump is scared and they can force him to sign whatever crap they and the dems pass.
Yeh sure, a lot of deplorables in West Virginia- piss on em and dismiss em. Flyover state anyway. That strategy worked so well for Hillary. Sure, go there and tell them that if you are elected that you will absolutely put the coal industry and miners out of business. Always a winning strategy.
Let's see... Patriot Act? no, no that hasn't worked out Oh, yeah...Dodd Frank? no, that's been a drag Oh, I know...Graham Leach Bliley? No. Probably some of the dumbest legislation ever. Because of that law, a friend could non longer hand out $10 Starbucks gift cards as a spiff in sales meetings. Hey, how about invading Iraq? That was a real winner. We're still winning. And how can we forget the Do Not Call Act? That has worked out so well they now have to call me on my cell phone. Go down this list to really appreciate what a great job they're doing.... 2001 to 2011[edit] 107th United States Congress[edit] June 7, 2001: Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act, Pub.L.
