OAN is not the only one being dropped by service providers, Newsmax is also facing the same issue. This trend of service providers dropping OAN and Newsmax is quickly changing from being a ripple to a wave. Soon it will be hard to find either channel available from cable, satellite or internet TV providers.

Newsmax Dropped From Atlantic Broadband and Other Cable Operators

NewsmaxTV’s conservative programming rival One America News Network (OAN) isn’t the only one with recent carriage struggles. Since December 31, Newsmax has been quietly pulled off the pay-TV grids of cable operators such as Atlantic Broadband, South Carolina’s Hargray Communications, Cincinnati Bell, and Central Pennsylvania’s Blue Ridge Communications.

New York-based Newsmax, much like OAN and Fox News, has attributed its recent troubles to “censorship” of right-wing voices. In a boilerplate statement, Newsmax said, “Despite our high ratings with personalities like Greg Kelly, Eric Bolling, Sean Spicer, Lyndsay Keith, Dick Morris, Alan Dershowitz, and more — it is clear that Blue Ridge doesn’t like Newsmax’s point of view.”

It’s clear, however, that Newsmax’s pay-TV distribution is in far better shape than that of One America News, with the only remaining significant distributor being Verizon Fios. DIRECTV STREAM, Sling TV, DirecTV, and Dish Network still have Newsmax included in their base tiers.

Atlantic Broadband said, “While we worked in good faith to negotiate a new agreement, Newsmax insisted on unreasonable terms and conditions that would have resulted in increased TV fees for all Atlantic Broadband customers even though Newsmax is available for free for other viewers… This is unfair to Atlantic Broadband customers, including those who enjoy the channel. Because we could not reach a new agreement, the channel is no longer offered on our lineup.”

It’s uncertain if the carriage disruptions are part of an expiration of a master carriage deal with the National Cable TV Cooperative (NCTC) or due to the fact that Newsmax has been accused of supporting former president Donald Trump’s “Big Lie.” Many people, like progressives and media watchdog groups, have recommended pay-TV operators drop channels that support this dangerous narrative.

Either way, Newsmax seems to be in trouble in one form or another.

The billionaire SpaceX CEO is launching satellites into orbit and promising to deliver high-speed broadband internet to as many people as possible.

Elon Musk will allow people to get internet even when Government / Corporate want to restrict access. This will help oppressed peoples everywhere... Uyghurs, Conservatives...

  4. OAN was actually decent in the middle of the day for world news when they would not put any politics in. They always mixed in a right wing news story here and there and the scroll was very partisan but in general if you watched them at like mid morning or mid afternoon, they would report on things happening in Europe or Asia or Latin America.

The down side was they were way too far right to keep their opinions out and after 10 minutes you had to change the channel because their bullshit would seep in. Also their news anchors were all in their 20s and the most dull plain vanilla people I have ever heard read the news.... like cardboard cutouts with no personality.... Then they would run Pillow Fuck commercials.

So I will not lament them getting the boot simply for the fact the product was really shitty and needed some serious upkeep. Newsmaxx has the same shit. It would have been better if the two merged and formed a better version of the two.

FOX news is high tech with top of the line studios, sets, graphics and presenters (not the nightly tlak shows)...look at them and then glance and OAN... some universities have better TV stations...

I was delighted to hear that Fox was cut from Colombia's largest cable provider. Only people who watched it were right wing boomer pensioners but we all had to pay for it.

The way they get bundled on cable insulates them from market forces as the couple of bucks a month per subscriber fuels them to the tune of billions from acting middle of the road commercially.

  6. What they really need to drop is MSNBC. That station is for the losers in the world.

  7. And yet, they dropped your faves. Go figure.

  8. I don't watch Newsmax, and I do not hardly watch OANN at all. It just seems like Free Speech is being attacked on all fronts.

Newsmax Producer Bizarrely Claims Plant-Based Impossible Burgers Contain Bill Gates' Microchips

Have you ever wondered what those plant-based Impossible Burgers are actually made of? How ever do they get that delicious meaty taste?

Well Ilona Braverman, a producer for fringe right-wing propaganda network Newsmax has the answer. It is of course microchips secretly added to the burgers by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
