Hey Ladies and Gents. Just a quick question here... I would like to know if there is any tool/App/website that would show me how many pips an fx pair moved within 5 minutes of a major news release. Most fx calendar websites show the news forecast and predicted values but there is no information on how it affected the pair. Example: NFP is released Friday, let's say the market moved 27 pips in one direction within the first 5 minutes of the news release. This data can help me see if a particular news release has any impact on the market(and by how much), also the strategy I should use and the risk management side. So if the tool/websites tell me over the last 12 NFP releases the market moved an average of 16 pips in any direction in the first five minutes, this data can help in my trading. I need this data just for personal research to backtest and see if trading the news is still a viable strategy in 2020. Sorry guys, the question is not as short as I wanted it to be. Anyways thanks in advance for your responses.
It is very important to track the news in advance in order to know exactly when this or that publication will be released and on which trading instruments it will affect.
I would like to know if anyone here is currently trading with a reliable news trading tool to show how many pips an Fx pair has moved during the major new releases?
Trading the news gives you a fairly quick income, but here you need to be careful enough and be able to concentrate on the main points and draw the right conclusions.
