what do you pros use for your news source when day trading
today i missed massive shit news that halved my piggy bank in one of the stocks i was holding.because i stepped away from pc and in 5 minutes it dumped news after hours that i didnt see (brqs)

made me realize i need a good source of news alerts to make sure i dont miss big moves on good or bad news

  2. You will never succeed trying to stay up to the second on news feeds.
You will only experience crazy whiplashes in your account, before its inevitable demise.

A news trader is no way to trade. Develop something more...worldly, and well-rounded and well-thought out and well approached.
I know what I'm talking about -- I was once you, thinking up to the second news was the key to market riches.

I'm often surprised by how bad trading news is in general. The feeds are awful, often contradictory so as to be correctly quoted one way or another, and delayed enough that little syncs up with the shares/companies being discussed.

news could be slow/ unconvincing / misleading / confusing.

anyway, if you want to know which is a 'good' news source,
you can actually search it in this ET forum.
There are quite a few recommendations from the ET members.

Use twitter. No need to pay for a news service that is just as slow and inacurate. That said, there are automated news crawlers for literally anything out there on twitter. These post in realtime as soon as the piece hits the tape.

If you're looking for context, twitter is unbeatable when it comes to variety, flexibility, speed and cost. If you're looking for speed, you better use a robot to trade :)

  10. I like Benzinga Pro, its audio squawk is quick to tell news compared to others I have tried in last decade so you can try that
