    Hi all
I can't get my head around the IB approach to news feeds. I just want a running bullitin as to what happened that effected the SPX. I have zerohedge running which is ok and yahoo finance but I'd like to have something inside my tws mosaic window. I just have the basics for information feeds.

    any help appreciated.
    thanks

IB TWS has Bloomberg tv in a window but it is 40 seconds behind the satellite feed in the UK.

thank you, 40 seconds is fine. If you know of a text bulletin feed as well that would be great.

    Hi there
I want it inside my tws mosaic window. But thanks for pointing out that site.

How about just adding a customised news feed tab to the mosaic?

The Daily line up also helpful.

I'd like to do that but I can't seem to get it working for the SPX. I just want to add a feed that prints any pertinent event that has caused a move in the SPX. An example might be the results of NFP or the FOMC rate decision.

You can have Reuters newsfeed in a TWS window.

thanks I tried that and entered SPX on the search line and nothing came up. What I am looking for is a feed that gives me a one liner that has the time and a simple description of an event specifically to a symbol, in this case SPX. I'll go back and try some of them again and see where I went wrong. I thought that there might be a feed that people used that was commonplace. thanks again

Reuters EIKON rebadged Metastock Xenith will give you scrolling news for a ticker. $165 a month. Will give you all headlines in red (alerts) and most of the stories behind the headlines later. Full price expensive if you want all stories.
