News app in TWS slow to update

  1. I often get this message: Please wait. Loading.

Has anyone experienced the same and found a solution?

You can't rely on IB's news app if you want up-to-the-second news for earnings or etc. Its news app is extremely slow and doesn't update in time. Many times you have to refresh and refresh and it doesn't even load. It's very buggy.

IB is a discount broker. Everything about it is very "discount". If you need up-to-the-nanosecond news, you will have to invest in those professional news services.

  3. I realize Bloomberg is the best. I have had Bloomberg. I may pay for it again. However, at the moment I do not pay for Bloomberg.

IB newsfeed is generally 2-3 minutes faster than for instance Benzinga or thefly. Probably because the two summariese the news, while IB shoots the news at you from Dow Jones.

The problem is lately the news app is slow to update. This is a new development. It is not a problem using an Iphone - only on desktop.

So I guess I am looking for an alternative that shoots news wires fast in real time.
