Facebook is apparently trying to push efforts into the digital space. A newly formed coalition called Facebook Financial will be responsible for all payment projects – that will include the digital payment service WhatsApp.

All pay services of Facebook will be taken over by the abovementioned coalition so users will be using that to send and receive payments across all apps owned by the Internet giant. WhatsApp will allow users to transfer money directly from the chat platform.

David Marcus, who was the head of Facebook’s messaging service back in 2014 and since then has been in control of the company’s cryptocurrency operations, will be the president of the new project. Stephane Kasriel, former Upwork CEO, has been named as vice president.

Facebook is only ever expanding, it’s pretty intimidating to watch it happen.

  2. Just don't use their products and refuse business of people who insist on it

  3. Sounds like they need to be destroyed

Aren't there antitrust laws for that sort of thing?
