I want to become a trader(swing trading preferably) but I don't know what's the learning curve in trading there are so much informations to learn that I don't know what are the real deal and what are trash what works and what not .For example in poker they are fundamentals to learn and lower stakes to play but in trading it feels like from the first minute you trade you get thrown into the ocean in the middle of a shark pack without knowing how to swim. Also can Somone Guide me through a learning path and what are the best resources to learn swing trading. Sorry for my English.

Except in any form of poker, there is bluffing. Markets do not bluff. They are in or they are out at certain price points and there is no "pot."

Please do not try to compare trading to any form of "gambling", whether based upon odds (as in blackjack), or skill (as in various forms of poker.) It does not do the industry good.

  3. are you looking to trade options or stocks?

  4. I compared only the learning path of trading to learning path to poker .

  5. I think I will start with stocks.

I'm also super new to trading, and have decided to take on stocks. The move is super slow for sure, but want to possibly look into options as the gains can be real

  7. Definitely start with stocks first. Options can get overwhelming

I have been trading on RobinHood for almost a month now, but the action again is lacking. Want something that is more velocity driven.

    Daytrading may become my thing.
