Hi All, I was hoping to get some advice with stock picking for my IRA account. I am considering investing in CAT and DE and didn't know which one was "better." I know CAT is the world's largest construction machinery maker and DE is the world's largest farming equipment maker, but they both seem like good long-term buys. Any thoughts? Also, I like KO and BF.B since they are both classic drink makers, whereas one is alcoholic and the other isn't. Again, long-term, are they both good picks? (I realize sometimes the two drinks can be complements, i.e. Jack & Coke) And lastly I have considered HES, PTR and PBR for an energy pick. I like HES since it's an American multinational, but PBR and PTR are titans in their home countries. I feel they could all be good picks, although PBR isn't having the best tailwinds now business-wise (from what I've read) and HES seems to be a tad pricey. Thus, I'm not expecting people to "do my homework for me" with these stocks, but I enjoy hearing about what others think and since I am fairly new to seriously investing, any helpful advice is always appreciated.
