Hi guys, just joined. Excited to be part of this community!

What does that mean when someone talks about repair when talking about technical analysis. For example saying "this will take some time to repair" or "we will have to revisit that repair zone".

Do you know where can I find ressources on that?

Well sounds like two different things that are related. "we will have to revisit that repair zone" is likely based upon how the market moves as far as velocity of a move in "x" amount of time it creates areas/ranges that are often accumulation or distribution zones. So there probably talking about levels that have high probability of being tested again just based upon the movement that happened there previously. These also often become decent probability areas to take a long or short. It's also possible they are using a different measurement than velocity over time as well, that's just one example.

As far as "this will take some time to repair" the second thing is after a big move down or up, their can be damage to the chart, meaning it's lost so much momentum that it will typically not go straight back up. So essentially will just take time to repair the damage as momentum builds favorably again.

I don't have any direct resources on that sorry, but that's is an explanation to what they are likely speaking of.

  3. Often the idea of repair refers to market profile based analysis: In the most basic sense a move that is considered incomplete will need to be repaired for example the end of a move is not considered complete until a tail of single prints has been seen, therefore a flat topped profile (think 3/4 TPOs) will need to be repaired. If you look at Eurostoxx futures this is noticeable at the recent highs around 3800. Bold call atm but we'll get back up there and repair that high at some point, wait for it to get into the range at the top then get long for the break - don't try picking the low now. Another example would be when a market gets bak into an area of volume and will then trade within it - repairing the profile and restoring balance. hope this helps

  4. it means when the current price does not reflect the true or evaluated price of the stock- the price went up or down because a certain event- and the time or the level it will take to fix it

When you do find the answer on that subjective stuff; compare it to Jim Cramers SPX[same as SPY] charts ; the medium term trend is still up + long term trend is still up.

NOT a prediction. DAL sector is mostly down , past 2-3 years. Good question.
