https://www.cnbc.com/2024/11/29/new...er-23-hour-trading-set-to-launch-in-2025.html My gosh!! Now we can trade stocks finally like retail forex and futures and when you are in a different timezone when travelling around the world. And all of the markets are going to be connected. This is awesome!! Now my charts are finally going to be continuous without gap up/downs. One question come to mind: 1. How are the circuit breakers going to work? Right now the circuit breakers stop at market-close at 4 PM EST/EDT. So are the circuit breakers going to extend to 23 hours as well? Because otherwise the stock market can continue to tank if the circuit breakers only stop at 4 PM EST/EDT. But nevertheless this is great news!! If only they can allow trading on Junnteenth Day, the most woke holiday...
My guess is that servers will still need a down time at some point, let's say one hour at the end of the day. There you could have any maintenance workflows. Like options/futures expirations, breakers and so on.
LOL No gap up/downs riiiiiight. Just movement on little volume that will likely, more times than not, get reversed once big money shows up during RTH's.
Yes, it'll just be like an extended after hours with low liquidity... so if you do have a stop it'll get filled way lower... Similar to a gap down anyway.
