Nice feature, it will close out every position across both brokerage accounts immediately as market orders, regardless of liquidity. Kind of like what Interactive Brokers does automatically but this is a manual version. Good to have in the event of market emergencies, like a dump fuel button on an aircraft. I recommend everyone have something setup like this, you never know when it could be needed. Anyhow just finished setting it up and its good to go.
Or you could do what normal people do and either hedge or just control your position size. Just throwing ideas out there....lol.
Actually thats a new keyboard. They are still made today in the USA and you can have custom keys made for it as well. http://www.pckeyboard.com/page/product/UB40P4A
I removed the windows key from my keyboard because of all the times I accidentally hit it. I can just imagine the disaster I'd encounter with such a key for trading.
That reminds me of my crazy day trading year in 2003, when I executed all my trades in "SpeedTrader IQ" with a Logitech Wingman joystick. The big top-left corner button was the "cancel all orders and dump all open positions at market" button: Fun times... Don't be surprised to hear I went back to I.B. with a more sane approach later that year. Yup, I tried a Topre and came right back to Unicomp's good old buckling spring, the same trusted switch design from the 80's. Those things are indestructible and feel absolutely great for programming. It helps that it sounds vaguely like those VT100 terminals at my father's university when I was a kid.
Nice work creating this. Could you please make one of those EASY BUTTONS for me. Kinda the opposite of what you just did...this button will get me INTO all the right positions right as the market has turned and is going my way. Thanks
This button is what now ? Looks like simply usual windows button anyway for everything like you really need. For example windows + printscreen will give you screenshot of your PC but I have good laugh at your initial proposal as well.
