I noticed it as well, and then I read something about these just being AI bots. You can tell because its one of those posts where it sounds like a bad translation that isn't exactly on topic. It perhaps some experiment where they are teaching the Bot to practice and learn, and it does so the more it interacts with real people.
I've been speculating it's some kind of "activity increaser" sanctioned by Baron (if you check member list over most active users, it's a reminder that this forum doesn't have a huge following compared to say certain Reddits). Mostly because I pointed it out to (tagged) Baron and my comment was removed. I don't really care that much personally, it's just slightly distracting. There are interesting real people posting here which is why I keep reading, mostly for fun or by the odd chance I've missed some unusual significant development.
They're trying to build reputation, in an amateur way, planting seeds across millions of websites/forums/comments. Then they sell primitive SEO services on Fiverr for $5+, spamming websites with links, of course not realizing or not caring that most will be moderated away: https://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?query=forum posts And this doesn't need to be AI, just cheap labor in Bangladesh. There may also be black market for selling access/logins to forums, for similar purposes.
It's not sanctioned by me in any way so please click on the Report link located at the bottom of any post whenever you see any suspicious bot accounts.
The post he quoted ....... It has since been deleted but you can read the contents in the 1st post of this thread.
I just read another post by you in which you said you went to a friend's 72' yacht in Florida and had a conversation about inflation. But there were no pics of the one on the right. That leads me to think that post was from a bot, because what is a boat-trip without good pics?
Ahhh, I had the bot user on ignore from previously, that's why I couldn't see it. Any new user on ET I find going straight into talking fx or banal T/A super basics go straight on ignore or very poor vocabulary.
