I am an international student in a Master of Finance program now. I am looking for a job in trading firm in US.

All of job description says "strong communication skills", but for me, English as second language, listening and speaking can never be as good as native speakers.

And I did an interview experience with a proprietary shop in Chicago, the interviewer is a young man. His accent is very hard to understand and he speaks very fast. I failed in the end.

Based on my situation, what can I do to compensate for the lack of language? Or is there some position that not require strong communication skills?

    Thanks

  2. where are you from? can you give more details on your situation?

easy answer would be to get good at trading your home market, then make the switch.
