Hey all! Before some of you jump and tell to use TradeZero Web, this is a talk about the need for a Mac native TradeZero Pro. Thank you. I have been using for TradeZero Pro almost three years and I have come to like it a lot. It is not perfect but nothing is. It works well 99% of the time. As a veteran coder, I know the intricacies of codeing so kuddos to all the TradeZero team. Over 20 years ago, I left the PC for the Mac and never looked back. Whenever my Mac friends show interest in trading and the platform I use they are put off by the fact of using a PC or even an emulator. For now, Mac users get no love the TradeZero team. Emulation software like Parallels are good but the whole Mac user experience is superior to anything out there. The Mac brought the graphic UI to the masses and owns the user experience game. Windows has been playing catch up to the Mac on this point and still lags behind. All this to say that, Mac users feel going backwards whenever we need to use Windows based apps. I hereby ask to the TradeZero Team to show Mac users some love by giving us a Mac native version or at least to give a TradeZero API so we can use a Mac native apps to pass our orders to the TradeZero servers. All the best!
https://www.investopedia.com/tradezero-review-6543656 "TradeZero charges $59 per month for customer accounts below $50,000 for its desktop and full web platforms.." And with options it charges $35 for exercise or assignment. No, thanks, but no thanks!
TradeZero has lowered the threshold for free Pro to $30,000, however our ZeroFree and mobile versions are free. Options exercises are only charged if you hold an in the money option past expiration.
Apple silicon and x86 versions of interactive brokers TWS for Mac are available. not sure if the no commision IB lite has api access. IB pro does.
Man, you are off topic here… It seems you have quite a bias against TradeZero. They are good to me and many others enough to remain in business so please give respect where it is due. I do not find your attitude kind and respectful towards Dan/Tradezero. I do not like that. I think kindness solves everything. Now, let's get back on topic… Dan, could you give us (Mac users) some hindsight/hope and answer to request above? At least, let's have an open discussion on this topic. Thank you!
I have had a very good experience with TradeZero and I've had an account for a while. Their user interface and trade execution is excellent in my opinion, and they are fair and always answered the phone if I had questions. As for the platform fee, it is well worth it for immediate order execution and hard-to-borrow availability. You will never get as good of fills from a spread pocketing "no fee or commission" broker in my experience, and I've used many.
Sorry for missing! TZ Bahamas, www.tradezero.co has been around since 2015, TZ America, www.tradezero.us since 2019 and TZ Canada, www.tradezero.ca since 2022. Europe is next!
Great news I totally agree with you. I really think the team behind TradeZero does not get enough praise. It is so easy to criticize.
