I'm trying to find a reliable dial up ISP that is accessible nationally. Everyone i find says that they will disconnect after 4 or 5 hours of consecutive use.

    any ideas?

  2. Have you looked into ixpres.com? They are pretty good, but I don't know if they have this timeout thing.

  3. whats wrong with aol. it has numbers everywhere.

does aol have reliable access and can i access it without all kinds of extra software? i just want to use windows xp to dial up and connect....

  5. check out the walmart isp. they use aol backbone and dont have the software.

  6. Access is rather reliable and national. Yes, you can use it without a lot of software additions. Sign up as a new member then get your access password, configure Internet Access to dial the AOL number and there you go. :)

Earthlink is reliable and they have a 24 hour time out limit.
