Naked Shorting of Non-PM Commodity Contracts ?

A recurring theme in precious metals discussions is the naked shorting of GC/SI contracts, which some expect will eventually trigger a force majeure event that will bankrupt both the naked and the "true" shorts, and send PM prices to the moon. ("The Naked and the True" ;))

Are there any other commodity futures that are subject to a significant amount of naked shorting ?

Are there plausible circumstances that would trigger force majeures in non-PM markets ?

Does naked shorting have other trading impacts, besides price suppression and potential force majeure ?

Considering 100+ years of contract rolling on many commodities, I'd imagine that some commodities might by now have a large surplus of contracts vs. physical supply. (Does a naked contract ever die of exposure ?)

    Any perspectives ?

Naked shorting of GC/SI contracts is worthless nonsense promulgated by charlatan PM permabulls.

A futures contract can only exist with one party long the contract and another party short the contract.

How is it the charlatan PM permabulls never talk about naked longs? Why is it OK by their illogic to be long a futures contract, but not short the same contract?

price suppression ??? More nonsense. In a working futures market buyers and sellers set the price. It is impossible to have a trade take place without both a buyer and a seller.

The narrative within the PM world (I'm agnostic) is that it's green-lighted at the top, so there would not be an enforcement mechanism, Nodog is watching the watchdogs.

So no such thing as contract trolling, ie no naked longs nor naked shorts ?

  4. Agree however I think what most PM bull refer to is that the natural buyers such as governments around the world are going to sell even if price rises to $5,000 us wear shorts will continue to sell and keep buying back because they're not in it for the long term

What is the "PM world", and what does it have to do with Gnosticism? That's a religious term?

Oh, I see it perfectly. You do not know what question you are trying to ask, because you have somehow conflated gold and silver futures prices with religion. And that is REALLY hard to do without effort.

Dude, do you wish to ask a serious question, or continue on with bullshit?
