Has a lot in common with trading not withstanding because every business is first and foremost trading. Like I posted in the "Application Development" thread, I never enter a trade where I don't already have the edge. So problem's not having it, it's preserving it. Like a successful trading strategy, nothing's more contaminating than business success. Every aspiring business owner and their cat (estimated in the hundred millions) will try to copy you. If my being the smartest guy in the whole country + 20 years of software engineering and 15 of capital markets have taught me something is how to deal with protecting my edge.
Good luck with the business, it is better to try things and learn something from your own experience, then do the job you hate and always wait for something to happen.
