We can do that for domestic accounts through master/sub accounts. The account would be at Wedbush not IB, with Lightspeed as your broker. Cash stays in the master and subs are to track positions and P/L. The master is used for over night margin with the aggregate of the subs.

  4. Yes. With an LLC you can look into their prop group options. Up to five accounts can all trade different strategies (long or short) on same instrument. Buying power/Margin for all is shared and based off master account, but all accounts must still comply with minimum 25k PDT regulation.

  5. If one's brokerage account were hacked, then trades were made, and resulted in huge losses, then would he be reimbursed by SIPC protection for the losses?

  7. Yes: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/am/am/manageaccount/linknewaccount.htm

Don't get confused by the responses in this thread which for some reason suggest opening an account with another broker, or LLC, or corporate account.

You can have as many different IB individual accounts as you wish.

  8. Right, until they automatically link them.

  9. I know at IB they do automatically link accounts. I know with my broker you can have your accounts separately margin even if they are sub accounts from the main account. I have one separate from my day trading to trade options. I'm not a broker but you can email mine to get more information. ilan@cannontrading.com.
