Good news for part-time couch potatoes!

For me, this is especially appropriate when my wife is in a bad mood and holding a sharp instrument.;)

    How about 2 minutes? :)

3 minutes per day is 1095 minutes annually, or 18 hours. Do I live 18 hours longer than otherwise with this exercise? An accountant wants to know...

  3. I read about the study a few days ago. It further validates the premise of HIT and HIIT routines.

There is an easy solution, don't use the elevator. We are on the 4th floor at the resort and go up at least 4 times a day, never using the elevator. It is not a minute, but pretty good cardio and gives a short burst of activity.

  5. The idea is to run up the stairs. The intensity is the thing.

I take 2 steps at a time and I always go speedy. After dinner a bit slower... :)

  7. It’s funny that our bodies are so used to the sedentary lifestyle that even 3 minutes of brisk walk can increase our life span.

I read a study a few days back which stated that adults should have at least 150 minutes of moderate activity and 2 days of strength training each week.

  8. I read that exercise is generally overprescribed but underperformed. By underperformed, I mean that people generally don't train intensely enough to make a meaningful difference.
