Do y'all have a dependable/favorite website or writer for getting an opinion on whether good news about a company is "really" good or not? Or just hot air. For example when an earnings report is released writers are all over the map as to whether it was a good report or bad. Zack's seems to get it wrong a lot,Barron's and Motley Fool are fair I guess. I know I should formulate my own opinion but it's always nice to see other's thoughts.
for such a case, you need to have some fundamental news about the company. Then take a position before the breakout ( medicine approval process). Such a chart is very typical of pharmaceutical companies. of course, if the approval process is negative, there wouldn't be any breakout.
stock trading tip the insiders don't buy stock - they buy stock options - so when you see unusually high spike in the twenty one day average of option volume - you know it's going to blow.
I guess I'm just trying to deal with that age-old conundrum traders have dealt with for decades; trying to find a "tell" as to which stocks are gonna Gap N Go and which ones are gonna Gap N Crap.
