It doesn't mean they get it. Don't know how the nomination process works, but if it's ain't that restricted, then everyone is free to bring on their nominations to the table. Beside under which category ? Can't fit into ,,For Peace'', that's for sure. Edit : “They have had a tremendous achievement in raising global awareness and consciousness about racial injustice.” The only way that, this award would lead to (and encourage), is to solve any injustice like that, by destroying(stealing from) small business, blocking roads for a neutral civilians and killing innocent officers.
"...His written nomination concludes: “Awarding the peace prize to Black Lives Matter, as the strongest global force against racial injustice, will send a powerful message that peace is founded on equality, solidarity and human rights, and that all countries must respect those basic principles.” Not to mention all the free shit you get when you go on a looting rampage. Next up? The Purge is nominated for invoking peace by letting everyone kill each other legally for 12 hours "to get the aggression out".
The quick emotional response would be : the idea that people would agree to bring this into reality, in real world, because of envy & jealousy, is more scary then the actions that would follow. But then rational part kicks in, if, one is a billionaire : ,,Yeah, let me show what kind of a fortress one can build, how many guns, and what kind of a private army one can buy, to prepare for the next 12 hours at the end of the year.'' Haven't seen the movie. Usually instantly reject movies like that because of a stupid idea in itself. You kill for 12 hours. And live for the rest of the year as if nothing has happened. Yup... Nope. Still, got to see it.
It's a decent film, although a bit over the top. But I brought it up to analogize the absurdity of it all.
Yup, - fine match. Just that i was thinking about that movie once in the past (without seeing it), and here it is.
