May we get a list of the moderators and their various areas of responsibilities (e.g., which forums they moderate)? Thanks.

Efficiency, mostly. One can't expect every moderator to read every post on every thread every day. But if a moderator is responsible primarily for one forum, he's more likely to be reasonably familiar with the players and with what goes on there. And if a trader has an issue, he has somebody to contact who knows what has been and is going on.

That's what the complain button is for.

I wonder if there might be more civility around here if the moderators weren't even identified at all.
They could just go about without harassment, quietly doing their job.
If Baron thought a moderator was excessively editing, he could handle it in a private manner.
I've seen too many of these guys who volunteer to make this a better place, come under unnecessary scrutiny/harassment.
Way more people would probably volunteer for the job if they could remain anonymous.

just like NSA, Secret courts etc.
i don't trust the moderators, some of whom have personal issues. let the light of day shine upon them.

your idea is devoid of any merit but it shows your mentality.
by the way don't you think that Baron has enough on his plate without suggesting ways to keep him more busy.

Any dolt who says all moderator issues can be dealt with through the complaint button clearly hasn't thought much about the subject.

A good bicycle or a good girlfriend can relieve a lot of frustration.
Be careful though, 'cause a cheap one can be trouble.
