Anyone else experiencing missing data on IB charts in TWS? Several stocks(all?)seem to be missing the entire month of january, and sometimes october data. Hoping it's not something on my end.

Yes. I have the same experience, but for some futures contracts. It happens quite often. IB really doesn't care to fix the problem thoroughly.

It doesn't mean the stock charts are not missing data, because I use IB primarily for futures contracts. I don't have first-hand experience with their stock charts.

It seems to have just started in the last few weeks for me. It's a pain in the butt when trying to research or informally backtest a stock.

Sometime refreshing a chart template helps. Same problem here, always had it and I often use something else like tradingview.
The ibkr android app appears more stable and user friendly with things like charts, than tws.

The issue with my charts was due to Interactive Brokers' data server problem. It was confirmed by IB's tech support team. Their data server has such problem quite often.

The issue I have is with certain newer tickers if you have a daily chart zoomed out...say looking at 1-2 years of Boeing for instance...then you switch to a newer stock with less history like PLTR...The daily chart will simply refuse to load...Will say no historical market data and error out loading nothing. I have to go to another ticker....zoom the chart in...then go back to PLTR.

This happens for many/most new stocks and its stupid as fuck

As of now, my chart has the same problem again. I asked IB to fix the problem a week ago. Not sure what they have done in the past one week time. IB is so disappointing!

def, if you see this message, can you please escalate this issue to IB's senior management?

I think you have to do @def That @ symbol alerts them or something.

  9. Same here. The daily candles between mid 2019 and April 2020 for stocks are just missing, like the crash never happened, regardless of the market. The weekly candles look alright. It's only been happening lately.

TWS charts have gone back to being extra wonky past 2 weeks or so...Not sure what they did in one of the updates...but shits broken...again.
