This is my Future Trading Journal. I have a small account with ~4200$ and will start trading appropriate Equity Index Futures from tommorow on. I intend to post my trades live in this thread. At the moment I'm going to stick with YM and QQQQ. That's all for now.
You dont have much wiggle room, with a money management policy of 2% of account equity, and trading one contract you have 16 points on the Dow Mini to risk. Two percent is on the high side IMO, I will only risk half a percent per trade. You need $10,000 min to trade the Dow index futures. This will give you some breathing room. To do it right 20k.
