Imagine having to use riot control measures to control a riot.

Who could imagine such a situation. Certainly not I. This random youtube clown couldn't have cherrypicked a handful of examples from a riot that might look like someone innocent was clobbered.

I've been watching livestreams of the protests every night since last week. From the hours of footage across every major battleground (LA, Portland, NYC, Boston, and Minnesota) I've seen the only people getting hurt are hanging around in the same crowds as the agitators. See an agitator - run away. How simple can this be. Riot control officers don't get the pleasure of choosing their targets. Ever tried to pick out the person who threw a brick from a crowd of 1,000 people? The best solution is to use overwhelming force as quickly as possible to disperse the crowd once it becomes violent.

For being the "bad guys" the police have been remarkably restrained. LAPD even had stand down orders last night specifically saying to not stop looting.

Your thought process is how we got here.

The cops you've been watching for hours every night, that have been well-behaved, are not the topic of the discussion.

    What I miss?

Pretty much a foregone conclusion the insurrection act is about to be abused.
