If the U.S. implemented proper Contact Tracing then these type of measures would not be needed. As noted in studies - eat-in dining is one of the larger potential spreaders of COVID. I should note that several other states and localities in the U.S. already require this for eat-in dining. NH Restaurants To Start Collecting Contact Information For COVID Tracing https://boston.cbslocal.com/2020/10...ants-contact-information-coronavirus-tracing/ Washington State Decides to Require Phone Numbers to Get Into Restaurants https://www.wweek.com/news/2020/05/...get-into-restaurants-a-plan-oregon-abandoned/ Shelby County restaurants asked to help with contact tracing https://www.wmcactionnews5.com/2020/07/08/shelby-county-restaurants-asked-help-with-contact-tracing/ Michigan is no different than many other places.
So you agree that eateries should have to collect names of people who dine there. I'm glad you stated this openly. Thanks. Ja voll, mein herr.
Actually I am on the fence if this should be required. I am just noting that Michigan is not alone -- there are many other locations in the U.S. where this has been in effect for months. I am also noting that if the U.S. had proper Contact Tracing like Germany or South Korea then this would not be required. Having to take names and phone numbers at a restaurant is reflective of the complete failure of the U.S. to get Contact Tracing into place.
Yes, it is reflective of Trump's total failure to properly handle COVID using science-based public health practices. Trump simply looked as COVID as a new way to allow further grifting from his family and in the beginning as a way of oppressing the people of blue states.
