So some guy surrended mice to an animal shelter. Seriously? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/16/new-hampshire-animal-shelter-thousand-mice This looks like something from The Onion. WTF. What is the other side of this trade? LOL Pet stores? Springfield, Ohio?
Ethics get a bit weird with animals. Nature kills them when they are too plentiful for a reason, no matter how cute and sentient they are. Also nice section choice.
Reminds me of big story from when I lived in New Jersey where a NJ resident was fined for killing a rat that was eating his tomatoes. Instead of paying the fine, he demanded his day in court. The municipality was so embarrassed by the negative publicity, and being made butt of late night comedians' jokes, that they rescinded the fine. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1994-08-05-mn-23684-story.html
