Our venture south for our final deal-making event of the 2015 Spring season was a roaring success. Dozens of hedge fund and financial professionals mingled, talked/made deals, reconnected, and forged new friendships during the fun, but all too short evening Our organization has exponentially grown beyond our initial vision, so on behalf of the group, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone involved for helping us achieve our mutual goal of uniting the South Florida hedge fund and financial community into a unified whole. At the Miami event, we were privileged to be joined by funds hosting a variety of unique and alpha producing strategies. Everything from traditional long short equity and interest rate futures to niche strategies like merchant cash advance funds and crowdfunding real estate were represented at the event. Even a Malta based off-shore multi-strategy group was in attendance. Unfortunately, our resident photographer/Eastern European investor liaison is sourcing capital in Moscow so we do not have any photographs of the get to together. We would like to thank our hosts at Tamarina Restaurant who went above and beyond to assure the success of our evening All good things must end ( temporarily) so we are winding down our event schedule for the summer. We plan on staying in touch via a newsletter during the hot season and we are working on an exciting schedule of events for the autumn term!
