  2. LOL. Yeah, tough for him but he knew what he was getting into. Obama knew no one was getting confirmed, so he nominated a guy who did not appear overly extreme to make republicans look bad. Now we see how important it was for republicans to hang tough on Garland.

All Mitch has to do is make sure the Senate is in session every coupla days through January. He is well aware of it. There will be little if any recesses.

Hope we can say bye again. Can you imagine having someone confirmed for AG that hadn't even thought about the criminality of illegal border crossings??? This is embarrassing.
Garland 'hadn't thought' about whether illegal border crossings should remain a crime

Merrick Garland, President Biden’s pick to lead the Justice Department, said Monday he "hadn’t thought" about whether illegal entry at the southern border should remain a crime.

Garland was asked by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., if he believed "that illegal entry at America’s border should remain a crime?"

"Well, I haven’t thought about that question. I just haven’t thought about that question," Garland responded. "I think the president has made clear that we are a country with borders and with a concern about national security. I don’t know of a proposal to decriminalize but still make it unlawful to enter. I just don’t know the answer to that question. I hadn’t thought about it."

Just shows you Merrick Garland is unfit to be Attorney General when he would refuse to enforce US laws as written. We have enough extreme liberals in Congress and the Federal Government who refuse to do their jobs, but, take their fat paychecks and benefits just the same. In any other country, these ass clowns would be thrown out of office and prosecuted for refusing to do their jobs. You know, the jobs they were elected to and for which, they are richly paid.

He is far loony left and indicated his total willingness to persecute conservatives and execute the dangerous policies of the Harris regime.

Seriously, we dodged a bullet with this guy. He will still do some damage but at least not permanently.

Gov. Abbott Fires Back at Attorney General’s Threat Against Texas Over Border Decree

Attorney General Merrick Garland today issued a warning to Texas Governor Greg Abbottt over Executive Order GA-37, which restricts the transportation of unlawful migrants in Texas due to COVID-19. Garland called the executive order “both dangerous and unlawful” and urged the governor to immediately rescind it.

“On Wednesday, Abbott issued an executive order restricting ground transportation of migrants ‘who pose a risk of carrying Covid-19 into Texas communities’ and directing Texas Department of Public Safety to stop any vehicle it finds suspicious, marking the governor’s latest attack against the administration’s immigration policies,” CNN reported.

CNN first reported that the Biden administration was considering challenging the move and that the Department of Homeland Security was also reviewing it. Governor Abbott today responded to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s letter in a statement.

“It is clear that the Biden Administration fundamentally misunderstands what is truly happening at the Texas-Mexico border,” Abbott said.
