Liberal media are utter liars. We already know that. They did a hell of job and now trying to attack doctor Erickson because it does support their agenda of destroying the US economy. Democrat governors complicit which is why they need an alliance on when to re-open their economies? Blowback from Antifa and BLM coming when they lose their jobs for good. It is going to be pretty ugly in the liberal states when it happens. In other news, news of layoffs happening in liberal media. Atleast, these no good hacks can now feel what other Americans suffering from their lies had to deal with. Karma baby.

  3. So it appears the healthcare system is collapsing, just not for the reasons we were told. Other than NYC and a very few other metro areas hospitals are empty and waiting for patients. Some questions arise as a result of this misinformation psych ops war launched by the media and so called experts. Why was NYC considered the bellwether for the rest of the country? Is the rest of the country an international hub? Does the rest of the country live jammed together like sardines? Millions of people crammed into subways and elevators? Once again we see the failure of this braodbrush knee jerk approach we've taken. Our efforts needed to be and still need to be in the high risk areas and with people in high risk categories. Everyone else go back to business with some prudent precautions taken. Sorry, but one simply cannot watch how this is unfolding and deny the political component and how the left is weaponizing it to use as their 2020 campaign strategy.

This reality for U.S. hospitals is that all elective surgeries have been cancelled. Over 50% of hospital stays in the U.S. are for elective surgeries and the majority of hospital revenue is from elective surgeries.

This drop in revenue left most hospitals scrambling, laying off staff, cutting pay and reducing staff hours.

  5. Absolutely correct but doesn't address the reason all elective surgeries that have been canceled was done on the basis of what we now know was a gross overreaction as a result of the we're all gonna die narrative. There was a middle ground between doing nothing and shutting everything down. We never tried that, it was never discussed or given any consideration. We now live with the consequences of that ill advised decision and these consequences extend far and wide through all aspects of our society. We have yet to experience the full weight of these consequences and when we do it's going to be ugly, real ugly.

every gov and mayor who had access to these stats should explain the their reasons for the continued lockdown of low risk groups or lose their jobs.

Every stupid af lefty, dnc unce / soros type who has been not just stupidly wrong but calling those of us with critical thinking skills names... should leave et.

Every media type supporting the narrative in the face of this data... should lose their jobs.

This is likely to be the worst destruction caused by western govt in history. If they open up Monday... we may still have a depression.

Interestingly... Cuomo got hit hard in New York and yet came out and said the models sucked.
I would like to see the timing... but when he saw his test data...he dramatically changed his tune. He may be ok... I would like to know what he knew when.

but... WTF is Newsome doing here in CA..There are not stats to justify what he has done for the last 2 to 4 weeks.

It is almost sadistic or criminally dumb to keep low risk group in lockdown... given the data we have right now.
That he recently extended the shutdown... state wide?

Insanity... he should be removed from office for being unfit... immediately.
So should every other politician area by area... who does not have stats to justify this shutdown of low risk healthy people.

these guys are heros... to speak up.

Just this week... multiple medical people said to me... this shutdown in CA is so destructive something must be done. A disaster not just economically because staff and doctors are being laid off but a reverse emerging medical disaster because people are not seeking treatment or can't get the treatment they need. (for instance I have a friend walking around in serious pain but he can't get his knee operated on. I would have brought this up before but I saw his wife on Thursday... a democrat turning against the shutdown after a few weeks of pain)

  9. Y'all now from other posts and other topics that I believe that binary thinkers - who are well represented here- are the enemy of good. You can't take complicated issues and turn them into either/or scenarios just to spare leaders and voters and others from having their brains overheat from thinking for ten minutes or something.

That kind of thinking is a disaster. And it cuts across all topics. Just yesterday I saw a doctor on TV and she was recounting the success she has had with hydroxy and the interviewer said " There have been reports of people with heart disease and diabetes having problems with it, what do you say to that." And she says "doctors are required every day to filter out patients who should not be taking a certain drug." Boom! another attempt to go binary squashed. You can add thinking into the equation, who woulda thunk?

And then I saw saw business owners in Georgia being pressed on whether they were going to stay shut of open. And one of them said "I am going to open- but not just yet- as soon as I can get some more masks and sanitizer. Boom! Another binary scenario squashed by someone who reserved the right to add thinking into the mix.

This shutdown thing should not just be "wings stay on- wings fall off" binary thing. That is not the way to go. There is a whole world of middle ground.

Looks like Ted unwittingly flipped the "economy goes full Venezuela" switch here. Not good.

His method of data extrapolation is flawed. The majority of people that have been tested were showing symptoms. This portion of the population is going to have a much higher positive test rate than the overall population.

Random antibody tests are a much better measure of how much of the overall population has had the virus. They suggest the virus is much more prevalent than testing has shown, but not nearly as high as his data is suggesting. Take New York for example. Their positive test rate is 36.9%, but their antibody testing suggests that 13.9% of the population has antibodies.
