Measuring pulse or heart rate while trading ?

For the discretionary traders especially does it help you (or did you ever try it) to measure your pulse (heart beat) when you make trading decisions ? I could imagine that high pulse is a sign of stress and not good when holding a position or entering a new one. But it might be different to every person, so I would like to know some experiences.

you don't need to measure anything to sense you're nervous.

and if you feel that way you're doing it wrong. too much risk.

You're trading with too much money if you're worried about your heart rate.

Yes. Heart math has been good for measuring coherence. It’s good biofeedback and will affect your attention on breath control. Didn’t realize how much I held my breath during trading.

All I read was the title of the thread, and this is pretty much how I was going to respond. Unfortunately, it took me a long time to learn this. I finally figured out that I was in too much of a hurry to make a lot of money (which led to losing money), and I was comparing myself to others which led to trading strats which didn't agree with my personality (which led to being very nervous in most trades and basically being a very shitty trader).

    Good points.
But i noticed my guts[or heart\nervous system ] tends to get me out of a trade waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early.
    THAT can be a good thing sometimes;
because your senses[ or subconscous mind ]may see something that may or may not mean an exit= wise.
But mostly if you are sensitive person like me\ a faster beating heart means not much of anything.
Exceptions can include; an uncomfy heart rate may mean too many cups of coffee , so i do a max of 3+/ mostly.......

Are there any good academic studies on measuring of biofeedbacks or neurofeedbacks of very successful (discretionary) traders (I mean Sharpe 4 or higher when looking at the equity curve) because I am not familiar with terms from the subject medicine here (and do not really know where to look at) ?

  9. Trading is a stressful activity, there is no doubt about that.
Everyone and every profession is stressful.

But I think what is more important, is a person's ability to mitigate and minimize and control and handle stress in a healthy, controlled, fashion. Some people kick walls and chairs or throw things or yell...you don't want that to be you. You want healthy, normal, outlets of tension and stress relief.
Coffee, caffeine, irregular sleep patterns, junk food, alcohol, all will only increase your stress levels and coping skills.

I know it sounds cliche, but you should really eat healthy foods. and eliminate junk foods, completely. Don't overeat.
Walk, run, jog or bike and lift some moderate weights consistently regularly, and stretch and breathe too.
    Sip caffeine-free teas.

Don't binge watch bs movies and tv shows and music. Don't fill your mind with noise, hype, nonsense, poison and clutter.

There's a neighborhood Calico cat that crosses my room window several times a week. Just seeing it's face, eyes, and coat...makes me smile, and calms me. Everyone should consider getting a pet...that makes them smile, and calms them.

With healthy eating you mean only minerals (enough salt and water) + vitamins or ketogenic eating ? Because it reduces the blood sugar levels and you have more constant energy when you do keto (tried it already). Otherwise you get tired on a heavy meal at lunch in the early afternoon, which I assume is not so good for (discretionary) trading or ?
Second question about noise, do you hear jazz or classical music (Mozart, Bach e.g.) when trading or always 100% silent environment at all, what do you mean here ?
