I have been researching coconut oil and I ran into MCT oil. It stands for medium-chain triglyceride, kind of an extract of coconut oil. It gives you an energy boost beside other things like lowering blood sugar, etc., also can be an ingredient in the so called bulletproof coffee.

Here are some reviews from Amazon:

    Liquid crack

This oil made me feel like I was on a Rollercoaster, in a good way! The damn adrenaline that this oil gives me is pretty insane. This works better than coffee, cocaine, and crack. Trust me I've tried them all. This works!

After using MCT oil in coffee for a few months and doing more research on potential health benefits I called the company to confirm the type of MCT's used in this product. There are four types of MCT molecules, C6, C8, C10, and C12.

Coconut oil contains predominately C12, Lauric acid. Research has shown C8 to be most effective with respect to energy and weight management. Nature's Way label states it includes C8 and C10, but does breakdown the ratio. Upon calling the company it was not able to provide a breakdown of %'s C8 and C10. I was surprised as this seems to be a common formulation question.

Bought this to combat Candida overgrowth and it has helped tremendously. You have to supplement with probiotics tho - this stuff will literally clean you out.

I'm very happy with this product. Negative reviews seem to be bc of an upset stomach or delivery issues. The product itself is great. You need to start out very slow (like half a teaspoon ) and work your way up. If you're fat fueled then you should not gain weight for this product. In fact I have it in my bulletproof coffee every morning and my energy levels are soaring. I do not get hungry until lunch time so it's definitely fulfilling. I recommend this product for those following the keto wol.

MCT oil will make you fat as a pig if you don't watch how much you use. One tablespoon of the stuff has 130 calories, which is almost as much as a 12 ounce can of Coke.

  4. Pekelo, I see you're already bored with last month's miracle elixir.

  5. MCT works well if you are doing Keto Diet but also if you control quantities you take in. I don't take MCT oil dreidctly but it is in a few Keto products I do consume but the quantities are still controlled.

Some people can get a stomach ache if they take too much direct MCT oil.

My belief/opinion so take it what it is worth is the benefits of MCT oil come in only if you are doing Keto and also if they are in controlled quantities, not just guzzling down the stuff or having coconut oil all day long.

No need to worry. I am on my summer diet of beer, pizza and icecream , and I think I am actually losing weight. My wife hates me.

Apparently coconut oil is 65% MCT, so just taking coconut oil I would get MCT too. I will start tomorrow morning with the coffee.
