McDonalds misses earnings. Why? They said inflation !

  1. So we all know inflation is an issue but when you start hearing big companies complaining about it on earnings calls Wall Street really notices. This just came out this morning.

  4. It always does. Restaurant management is always reluctant to raise menu prices to cover costs... fearing things will get expensive enough that customers stop coming.

  6. McDonalds has done a good job keeping their menu pricing within reach of minimum wage.

    food and energy are not part of the inflation number because of their inherent
    volatility.

  9. I'm still traumatized by the great hot cheeto price increase. They use to be $0.87. Now the last I saw $1.69. $2.40 it's disgusting

  10. May not be part of the "official inflation number", but experience inflation nonetheless. (Government lies about inflation.. always greater than the government says it is.)
