Mass. bill allows inmates to swap organs for less prison time.

  1. Man, this is some ugly sh#t right here.

A bill that only the Wagner Group guy would love.

A new bill proposed in Massachusetts would allow incarcerated individuals the option of donating their organs or bone marrow in exchange for a reduction in their sentences. The bill's authors believe the move will expand the state’s pool of donors and “restore bodily autonomy” to inmates, but ethics experts say it’s potentially exploitative and may also be illegal.

“I don’t see an ethical justification for the proposed Massachusetts law,” John Hooker, an ethics professor at Carnegie Mellon University, told Yahoo News. “If it is OK to release prisoners early due to organ donation, they should be released early without the donation.”

In China you get less prison time because you are dead.

On the other hand, this could also save a lot of lives… Imanual Kant would most likely approve.

  7. Not the country that Americans want.

Think about it as an American, not as a democrat.

Ah yes, can’t forget we have the largest prisoner population on the planet and for profit prisons that buy congress and make mandatory minimums.

And yes any thinking outside of the mob isn’t American is a very American thing to say. How about you try just thinking for yourself.

  9. And you want to help get some of them out by getting them to sell their body parts and be reimbursed by reduced time?

You are free to take that one out on the road at election time.

In regard to your "think for yourself" commentary, I am willing to have an open mind on some things but not to the point where my brain falls out on to the floor.

This sets me apart from your ilk.

There’s a moral question here of the greater good and what is good. An ethical question of what is justice. All that deserve to be explored but as always you come in and think you have it all figured out.

I always liked this scene because it serves as a lesson on temperance and consideration in the face zealotry. And you have zealously asserted yours is the right way because you think it’s American. But the truth is your up to your neck in a swamp.
