Equity/options markets will be closed this Monday, June 20th for Juneteenth.

 

Wow! What a holiday. It is Juneteenth but celebrate on June 20th?

strange that they[NYSE....] only close Thanksgiving 2022early + not a full day+same partial Christmas 2024. Maybe that'$ one reason why markets have gone down so much this week\ we dont really want to lose money\short week or stop workin' on monday, 20th LOL??

My mother,who was born in rural Georgia USA in 1905,called it "Someone's Day" but she didn't use the word "Someone". LOL. Yeah she was kinda racist.

 

"Juneteenth"....just call it what it is......George Floyd/BLM Day.

I don't understand BLM....people are defending absolute criminals....as if they are Holy, pure, figures of society.

 

Juneteenth has zero to do with BLM/Floyd.

 

I can pretty much guarantee you....if that George Floyd/BLM fiasco incident didn't happen in 2020....there would be no Juneteenth invention in 2021.

 

I did not know what juneteenth is but now I know it has something to do with black people.
