Marianne Williamson accuses DNC of ‘rigging’ primary system for Biden

Self-help author and Democratic presidential hopeful Marianne Williamson on Sunday accused party bigs of “rigging” the primary system in favor of President Biden.

“The [Democratic National Committee] should not be rigging this system. They don’t even pretend anymore. They’re not even covert about their — their swaying the primary season. They’re very overt about it,” said Williamson, a former spiritual guru to Oprah Winfrey, on ABC News’ “This Week.”

Williamson — whose candidacy has already been labeled a “joke” by some Dem operatives — said the fact that the DNC plans to hold the party’s first primary in South Carolina instead of its usual New Hampshire is clearly designed to help Biden.

Biden, 80, won by a landslide in the Palmetto State in 2020, a victory that resurrected his flailing campaign and propelled him to the nomination.

The candidate who gets the most black votes gets the nomination.Letting the states with big black populations vote first is the right move imo. They can finish the process as soon as possible and stop dragging it out longer than it needs to be letting candidates like williamson, tulsi, buttigieg etc who have no chance at winning waste time and money that could be better used in the general election.

That said I hope black votes pick someone other than biden this time but i doubt it.

Another good idea would be a 1 day national primary where all states vote the same day.

Of course taking the first votes from whites in NH and IA and giving them to blacks in SC pisses a racist piece of shit like you off.

it's a PC/optics excuse to give Biden a head start. Why start in a republican stronghold that they won't win in the general other than to give Joe a lead against other dem candidates having won SC "bigly"? Kulinski above's got a bunch of shit takes but his campaign analysis is always on point imo.

Why waste time and money that could be used in a general election letting people with no black support win primaries in nearly all white states when they will certainly lose when blacks start voting? Primaries should be wrapped up as soon as possible so the nominee can focus on the general election as soon as possible imo.

Because sure to be lost SC (in the general) while risking swing NH for snubbing them and giving cons media ammo as NH picks another dem candidate is shitty strategy that endangers a dem. win. I'm not sure how having the first vote take place in SC over NH saves the dems money to be deployed in the general.

The winner of the dem primary in NH is irrelevant in picking the dem nominee and just needlessly prolongs the dem primary.Kyle said williamson might win NH,so what if she does she has no chance of winning the dem primary because she has no black support. Its fine to put GA first to please your kind as its a swing state now but no need wasting time with nearly all white states early. If NH dems have a problem fuck em,when was the last time a dem lost a presidential election by 4 EC votes?

Millions were spent by Biden and the other candidates between NH and SC,that money would have been better spent in the general election. That time spent would have been better beating up the republican than other democrats.
